Established in the second half of the 19th century in Hungary, the Iczkovits Company is still owned by the Iczkovits family, now in the fifth generation.

With the emergence of trucks, automobiles and motorcycles our company became a pioneer as one of the first companies to import and trade trucks, cars, motorcycles and sewing-machines.

In 1926 we were appointed by General Motors as main importer and representative for southern Hungary.

Among the companies Iczkovits had distribution rights to, you will find many famous names such as:

Hofherr – Schrantz – Clayton – Shuttleworth – Rud. Mack – Steyer – Pfaff – Chevrolet - Opel

Next to various automotive garages and workshops throughout southern Hungary, Iczkovits established one of the first gas-stations in the country, soon expanding to a network of 10 gas-stations.

Additionally lubricants were imported and distributed (approx. 400 rail wagons per year).

All buildings and workshops were self owned.

In 1944 the family were deported and jailed by the Nazi regime, leaving everything behind.

Switzerland granted the family shelter and in 1946, the company restarted its business from Zurich.

The old family know-how and worldwide network allowed us to re-build the company from scratch, while concentrating on worldwide tourist and diplomatic car sales, including being official worldwide General Motors tax free sales representative.

Today the company is family owned in the 4thGeneration by Peter Iczkovits.

The daily business is run in the fifth Generation by Chanan Jom-Tov Iczkovits.

Yischai Iczkovits recently joined the company becoming the 6th Generation in this family company with old roots and traditions.

Our tradition and values remain the same as in the past: first class and reliable tailor-made customer service based on trust and honour.
